भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) ने मंगलवार को आईपीएल प्लेऑफ का कार्यक्रम घोषित किया, जिसका फाइनल लगातार दूसरे सीजन में अहमदाबाद के प्रतिष्ठित नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में आयोजित किया जाएगा। क्वालीफायर 1 का मैच 26 मई को धर्मशाला के एचपीसीए स्टेडियम में खेला जाएगा, जबकि एलिमिनेटर और क्वालीफायर 2 दोनों क्रमशः 27 और 29 मई को न्यू चंडीगढ़ के न्यू इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में होंगे।
टूर्नामेंट का फाइनल मुकाबला 31 मई को नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में खेला जाएगा, जो दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा क्रिकेट स्टेडियम है और जिसने 2023 में आईपीएल फाइनल की मेजबानी भी की थी। लीग चरण के अंतिम दौर में प्रवेश करते ही शीर्ष चार स्थानों के लिए मुकाबला और भी कड़ा हो गया है, ऐसे में प्लेऑफ का कार्यक्रम जारी किया गया है। फिलहाल, तालिका में सबसे ऊपर पंजाब किंग्स 13 अंकों के साथ शीर्ष पर है, जबकि रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरु, सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद, राजस्थान रॉयल्स और गुजरात टाइटन्स सभी 12 अंकों पर बराबरी पर हैं, जिससे प्लेऑफ की दौड़ काफी रोमांचक हो गई है।
मूल रूप से फाइनल की मेजबानी बेंगलुरु को सौंपी गई थी। हालांकि, स्थानीय संघ और अधिकारियों की कुछ ऐसी आवश्यकताओं के कारण, जो बीसीसीआई के स्थापित दिशानिर्देशों और प्रोटोकॉल के दायरे से बाहर थीं, आयोजन स्थल को स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया है।
