भारत-पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट मुकाबले हमेशा से ही हाई वोल्टेज रहते हैं, लेकिन पिछले साल एशिया कप में हुआ हैंडशेक विवाद अब फिर चर्चा में है। पाकिस्तान के कप्तान सलमान अली आगा ने इस पूरे मामले पर खुलकर अपनी बात रखी और बताया कि उस दिन आखिर मैदान पर क्या हुआ था।
अगा के मुताबिक, मैच से पहले माहौल पहले ही काफी तनावपूर्ण था। पहलगाम हमले के बाद भारतीय टीम ने सामान्य माहौल से अलग रुख अपनाया था। सूर्यकुमार यादव की कप्तानी वाली भारतीय टीम और बीसीसीआई ने साफ कर दिया था कि इस बार सब कुछ सामान्य नहीं रहेगा।
आगा ने बताया कि टॉस से ठीक पहले उन्हें जानकारी दी गई कि इस मैच में दोनों कप्तानों के बीच हैंडशेक नहीं होगा। उन्होंने कहा, 'मैं टॉस के लिए जा रहा था, तब मैच रेफरी ने मुझे अलग ले जाकर बताया कि हैंडशेक नहीं होगा। मुझे पहले से इसका अंदाजा नहीं था, लेकिन जब बताया गया तो मैंने कहा कि ठीक है।'
हालांकि आगा का मानना था कि मैच के बाद दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ी एक-दूसरे से हाथ मिलाएंगे, जैसा कि आमतौर पर होता है। लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हुआ। पाकिस्तान टीम मैच के बाद भारतीय ड्रेसिंग रूम तक पहुंची, लेकिन वहां दरवाजा बंद मिला और कोई हैंडशेक नहीं हुआ।
आगा ने कहा, 'हम मैच हार गए थे और उसके बाद हम उनके ड्रेसिंग रूम की ओर गए थे, लेकिन वहां भी हैंडशेक नहीं हुआ।' इस घटना के बाद दोनों टीमों के बीच दूरी और बढ़ गई।
यह मामला खेल भावना और राष्ट्रीय भावना के बीच संतुलन को लेकर बहस छेड़ चुका है। जहां भारतीय टीम का मानना था कि देश के हालात को देखते हुए यह फैसला सही था, वहीं अगा का कहना है कि इसका असर युवा खिलाड़ियों पर पड़ सकता है।
उन्होंने कहा, 'हम अपने देश का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं और बच्चे हमें देखकर सीखते हैं। अगर हम इस तरह का व्यवहार करेंगे तो क्लब स्तर पर भी यही चीजें दोहराई जाएंगी। इसलिए मुझे नहीं लगता कि यह सही है।'
गौरतलब है कि इसके बाद भी दोनों टीमों के बीच हैंडशेक की परंपरा जारी नहीं रही। एशिया कप 2025 के फाइनल में भी भारत और पाकिस्तान आमने-सामने आए थे, लेकिन वहां भी किसी तरह का दोस्ताना व्यवहार देखने को नहीं मिला। कुल मिलाकर, यह विवाद दिखाता है कि भारत-पाक क्रिकेट सिर्फ खेल तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि इसमें भावनाएं और परिस्थितियां भी बड़ी भूमिका निभाती हैं।
