News18Sojat Goat Farming : राजस्थान के सरहदी बाड़मेर जिले में पशुपालन अब किसानों और ग्रामीणों के लिए कमाई का मजबूत जरिया बनता जा रहा है. खासतौर पर सोजत नस्ल की बकरी यहां तेजी से लोकप्रिय हो रही है, क्योंकि यह कम पानी और कम चारे में भी आसानी से पल जाती है. रेगिस्तानी इलाके की कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी यह बकरी खुद को ढाल लेती है, जिससे पशुपालकों को ज्यादा खर्च नहीं करना पड़ता. बाड़मेर के झाक गांव के देवाराम पंवार इसका जीता-जागता उदाहरण हैं, जो सोजत नस्ल की बकरियां पालकर अच्छी आय कमा रहे हैं. इस नस्ल की खासियत सिर्फ इसकी सहनशीलता ही नहीं, बल्कि दूध और मांस दोनों के लिए इसकी मांग भी है. यही वजह है कि बाजार में इसकी कीमत 35 हजार से लेकर लाखों रुपये तक पहुंच जाती है. कम लागत और बेहतर मुनाफे के कारण सोजत बकरी अब ग्रामीणों के लिए फायदे का सौदा साबित हो रही है.

For decades, palaeontologists believed that the largest ocean predators were vertebrates with backbones such as fish and reptiles while invertebrates like octopuses and squid played supporting roles.
