आईपीएल 2026 में दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरु के खिलाफ मुकाबले से पहले बड़ा झटका लगा। टीम के तेज गेंदबाज मिचेल स्टार्क मैच में नहीं खेलेंगे। दिल्ली टीम प्रबंधन ने उनकी उपलब्धता को लेकर अपडेट दिया, जिससे साफ हो गया है कि फैंस को स्टार्क की वापसी के लिए थोड़ा और इंतजार करना होगा।
दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के डायरेक्टर ऑफ क्रिकेट वेणुगोपाल राव ने स्टार्क की फिटनेस और उपलब्धता पर जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि क्रिकेट ऑस्ट्रेलिया की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार वह 1 मई से उपलब्ध रहेंगे। इसका मतलब है कि राजस्थान रॉयल्स के खिलाफ मुकाबले से उनकी वापसी हो सकती है। उन्होंने कहा, '1 मई से स्टार्क उपलब्ध हैं, अब हम टीम संयोजन देखेंगे।'
इस अपडेट के बाद साफ है कि स्टार्क आज घरेलू मैदान पर RCB के खिलाफ नहीं उतरेंगे। यह दिल्ली के लिए चिंता की बात है, क्योंकि टीम की गेंदबाजी पहले ही कमजोर नजर आ रही।
दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को पिछले मैच में पंजाब किंग्स के खिलाफ करारी हार झेलनी पड़ी थी। दिल्ली कैपिटल्स ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 264 रन का विशाल स्कोर बनाया था। KL राहुल ने नाबाद 152 रन की शानदार पारी खेली थी। इतना बड़ा स्कोर आमतौर पर जीत के लिए काफी माना जाता है, लेकिन दिल्ली की गेंदबाजी और फील्डिंग पूरी तरह फेल रही।

टीम की तेज गेंदबाजी अब तक मुकेश कुमार, खलील अहमद और टी नटराजन के भरोसे रही। विदेशी तेज गेंदबाज लुंगी एनगिडी ने भी योगदान दिया, लेकिन पंजाब के खिलाफ मैच में वह चोटिल हो गए थे। इससे गेंदबाजी आक्रमण और कमजोर हुआ है।
ऐसे समय में स्टार्क की वापसी दिल्ली के लिए बेहद अहम मानी जा रही है। पिछले सीजन उन्होंने 14 विकेट लिए थे और कई मैच जिताऊ प्रदर्शन किए थे। उनका अनुभव युवा गेंदबाजों के लिए भी फायदेमंद रहेगा। अब दिल्ली की नजर अगले मैचों पर है, जहां टीम चाहेगी कि स्टार्क की वापसी से गेंदबाजी को मजबूती मिले और प्लेऑफ की उम्मीदें जिंदा रहे।
