टीम इंडिया और दुनिया के बेहतरीन गेंदबाज जसप्रीत बुमराह अक्सर अपनी शानदार गेंदबाजी के साथ वर्कलोड मैनेजमेंट के लिए भी चर्चाओं में रहते हैं। सफेद गेंद क्रिकेट में वह अक्सर नियमित तौर पर दिखते हैं लेकिन टेस्ट मैचों में वह बाहर ही रहते हैं। क्योंकि, बीसीसीआई इस बात का खासा ध्यान रखता है कि टेस्ट मैचों के कारण बुमराह का वर्कलोड ज्यादा न हो जाए। उनके अनोखे गेंदबाजी एक्शन के कारण से उनके शरीर पर ज्यादा दबाव पड़ता है। हालांकि, अब बीसीसीआई ने उनके लिए एक खास प्लान तैयार करना शुरू कर दिया है।
बीसीसीआई ने जसप्रीत बुमराह के लिए वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चैंपियशिप और 2027 के वनडे वर्ल्ड कप के प्लान बनाना शुरू कर दिया है। टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार बोर्ड चाहता है कि बुमराह मौजूदा डब्ल्यूटीसी साइकल के सभी टेस्ट मैच खेलें। इस दौरान भारत को कुल 9 टेस्ट मैच खेलने हैं।
बता दें कि, भारत की झोली में WTC की ट्रॉफी को छोड़कर सभी ट्रॉफियां हैं। जिस कारण टीम और बोर्ड को इसकी चाहत बनी रहती है। अब इस ट्रॉफी को भी अपनी झोली में लाने के लिए टीम इंडिया के ब्रह्मास्त्र बुमराह को हर टेस्ट में खिलाने का प्लान बना रहा है। जिसके लिए उन्हें कुछ वनडे सीरीज से आराम दिया जा सकता है।
आईपीएल 2026 के बाद भारतीय टीम 6 जून से चंडीगढ़ में अफगानिस्तान के खिलाफ एक टेस्ट मैच खेलेगी लेकिन वह डब्ल्यूटीसी के साइकल में नहीं है। उसके बाद भारत को इस साल श्रीलंका और न्यूजीलैंड के साथ भी 2-2 टेस्ट मैच खेलने हैं। अगले साल जनवरी में ऑस्ट्रेलिया की टीम भारत दौरे पर आएगी और दोनों टीमों के बीच 5 टेस्ट मैच की बॉर्डर-गावस्कर ट्रॉफी खेली जाएगी।
टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया ने सूत्रों के हवाले से अपनी रिपोर्ट में बताया है कि इस साल भले ही 2027 के वनडे वर्ल्ड कप को लेकर शोर रहेगा लेकिन भारत की प्राथमिकता मौजूदा WTC साइकल में टीम की उम्मीदों को जिंदा करने पर रहेगा। फिलहाल टीम इंडिया वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप की रैंकिंग में काफी नीचे 6 नंबर पर मौजूद है।
