UP News: In Meerut's infamous "snake case," the court has sentenced Amit Kashyap's wife, Ravita, and her lover, Amardeep, to death for the murder of her husband, Amit Kashyap. According to the court, Amit Kashyap was strangled to death, and a snake was left on his bed to make the incident appear like an accident. The postmortem revealed injuries and scratches on his body. Before the verdict, both accused were presented in court via video conferencing. When asked about the sentence, Amardeep cited his elderly parents, while Ravita cited the care of her three young children. The court considered the case a very serious and premeditated crime, stating that life imprisonment alone would not suffice. The verdict cited the example of Savitri, highlighting the trust, sacrifice, and dedication in a husband-wife relationship. Upon hearing the death sentence, both accused broke down in tears. Amit's mother, who was present in the courtroom, also became emotional. The court directed the District Magistrate to ensure the maintenance and education of Amit's three children. Judge Jaiveer Singh Nagar's breaking of his pen after delivering the verdict was one of the most talked-about moments of the verdict. What was the entire "snake incident"? How was Amit Kashyap murdered? How did the police reach his wife and lover? And why did the court sentence both to death? #Meerut #upnews #SaanpKaand #AmitKashyap #CrimeNews #HindiNews #BreakingNews ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: Republic Media Network may provide content through third-party websites, operating systems, platforms, and portals (‘Third-Party Platforms’).
