The three-day bank strike scheduled from September 28 to 30 has been deferred for now. Bank unions had raised demands including five-day banking, changes in the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and pending issues related to the 2024 wage settlement. After a meeting between IBA and UFBU, a high-level committee was agreed upon to discuss these issues.
