Monsoon Session 2026: संसद में हुआ कितना काम? लोकसभा कितने में सिमटी, राज्यसभा का कैसा रहा हाल?
India’s Parliament Monsoon Session has ended, but it has left behind a major question: how much work was actually done in a Parliament funded by taxpayers’ money? From July 20 to August 13, 2026, the session saw 12 bills passed by both Houses, but repeated disruptions affected parliamentary productivity. Lok Sabha recorded just 19% productivity, while Rajya Sabha managed 39.17%. Lok Sabha was scheduled to function for around 114 hours but actually worked for only 17 hours and 30 minutes, leaving nearly 96 hours and 30 minutes unused. Rajya Sabha also lost more than 76 hours of scheduled working time. Political deadlock over the student protests and other issues dominated the session. On the final day, Lok Sabha functioned for barely a minute.
