He was previously commanding the state police force in the capacity of Acting DGP. An official order regarding this appointment has been issued by the Uttar Pradesh administration. A special conversation was held with DGP Rajiv Krishna regarding the law and order situation in UP. Discussions also touched upon the 'Surya Chauhan' case, with assurances that law and order enforcement will be further tightened. उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने 1991 बैच के सीनियर आईपीएस अधिकारी राजीव कृष्ण को प्रदेश का पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) नियुक्त किया है. वह फिलहाल कार्यवाहक डीजीपी के रूप में प्रदेश पुलिस की कमान संभाल रहे थे. इस संबंध में उत्तर प्रदेश शासन की ओर से आधिकारिक आदेश जारी कर दिया गया है.
