News18मथुरा में मान्यता है कि यमुना को कृष्ण की पटरानी का दर्जा द्वापर युग में मिला, पुजारी नारायण तिवारी के अनुसार यमुना का पूजन करने से कृष्ण भक्ति और मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं. कहा जाता है कि पौराणिक मान्यता और द्वापर युग के अनुसार भगवान कृष्ण ने यमुना को अपनी पटरानी का दर्जा दिया था. इस पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार जहां भी कृष्ण का नाम आता है और यमुना का जहां भी जिक्र होता है.
