The controversy erupted after a poster depicting a sacrificial offering was circulated on social media. Some local Muslim youths even went so far as to set this poster as their WhatsApp status; this act immediately sparked an uproar, as the poster—which was issued in the name of a local Madrasa in Fatehpur—featured an image of a cow.
