वेपिंग कांड के बाद राजस्थान रॉयल्स के कप्तान रियान पराग पर मैच फीस का 25 फीसदी जुर्माना लगाया गया है। वह आईपीएल 2026 के 40वें मैच में ड्रेसिंग रूम में ई-सिगरेट पीते हुए दिखे थे। जिसके बाद अब बीसीसीआई उनके खिलाफ जल्द कोई बड़ा कदम उठा सकती है। उन्हें खिलाड़ियों और टीम अधिकारियों के लिए आईपीएळ की आचार संहिता के लेवल 1 का उल्लंघन का दोषी पाया गया है। उनके खाते में डिमेरिट प्वाइंट भी जोड़ा गया है।
वहीं रियान पराग के खिलाफ बीसीसीआई जल्द ही सख्त कदम उठाने पर भी विचार कर रहा है ताकि गलती करने वाली टीम उसके अधिकारियों और खिलाड़ियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करने के लिए दूसरे विकल्प भी मौजूद रहें जिससे आईपीएल की रेप्यूटेशन बनी रहे।
बता दें कि, रियान पराग ने आईपीएल के कोड ऑफ कंडक्ट के आर्टिकल 2.21 को तोड़ने का दोषी पाया गया, जो ऐसे व्यवहार से जुड़ा है जिससे खेल की बदनामी हो। वहीं राजस्थान के कप्तान ने अपनी गलती मान ली है और मैच रेफरी अमित शर्मा की सुनाई रजा कबूल कर ली है।
गुरुवार को आईपीएल ने एक बयान में कहा है कि, राजस्थान रॉयल्स के कप्तान रियान पराग पर टाटा इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2026 के 40वें मैच में पंजाब किंग्स के खिलाफ, खिलाड़ियों और टीम अधिकारियों के लिए आईपीएल की आचार संहिता के लेवल 1 का उल्लंघन करने के लिए उनकी मैच फीस का 25 प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया गया है साथ ही उन्हें एक डिमेरिट पॉइंट भी दिया गया है।
