आईपीएल इतिहास का सबसे बड़ा स्कोर बनाने के बाद भी दिल्ली कैपिटल्स पंजाब किंग्स का तिलिस्म नहीं तोड़ पाई। श्रेयस अय्यर की अगुवाई वाली पंजाब किंग्स ने दिल्ली के खिलाफ 265 रनों का टारगेट हासिल कर इतिहास रच दिया है। पंजाब कि टीम अब सिर्फ आईपीएल में ही नहीं बल्कि टी20 क्रिकेट के इतिहास में सबसे बड़ा टारगेट चेज करने वाली टीम बन गई है। इस दौरान पंजाब के लिए प्रभसिमरन सिंह और श्रेयस अय्यर ने धमाकेदार पारी खेली।
इस दौरान प्रभसिमरन सिंह ने 26 गेंदों पर 76 रनों की धमाकेदार पारी खेली तो अय्यर ने 36 गेंदों में नाबाद 71 रन बनाए। दोनों टीमों के बीच खेले गए इस मुकाबले में कुल 529 रन बने जो आईपीएल इतिहास में एक मैच में दोनों टीमों द्वारा बनाया गया अब तक का सबसे बड़ा स्कोर है।
इससे पहले दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के लिए केएल राहुल ने 152 रनों की नाबाद पारी खेली और टीम को 264 के स्कोर तक पहुंचाया। ये राहुल के आईपीएल करियर का छठा शतक था। राहुल आईपीएल के इतिहास में बतौर भारतीय 150 रन बनाने वाले पहले भारतीय बने। वहीं दूसरी तरफ नीतिश राणा का दिल टूटा। वह शतक के करीब पहुंचे, मगर पूरा नहीं कर पाए। राणा 91 के निजी स्कोर पर आउट हुए।
