भारतीय क्रिकेट से जुड़ी एक अहम खबर सामने आ रही है, जहां चयन समिति में स्थिरता बनाए रखने को लेकर बड़ा फैसला लिया गया है। अजित अगरकर का कार्यकाल अब आगे बढ़ाए जाने की तैयारी है और मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार उनका अनुबंध जून 2027 तक बढ़ाया जा सकता हैं।
बता दें कि भारतीय क्रिकेट नियंत्रण बोर्ड इस फैसले के जरिए टीम में निरंतरता बनाए रखना चाहता है, खासकर ऐसे समय में जब अगले वर्ष एकदिवसीय विश्व कप जैसे बड़े टूर्नामेंट होने वाले हैं। गौरतलब है कि अगरकर के कार्यकाल में भारतीय टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया है और लंबे समय के बाद आईसीसी खिताबों का सूखा खत्म किया हैं।
मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार उनकी अगुवाई में टीम ने लगातार दो बार बीस ओवर विश्व कप जीता और साथ ही चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी भी अपने नाम की हैं। इसके अलावा वर्ष 2023 में टीम ने एकदिवसीय विश्व कप के फाइनल तक का सफर तय किया था, जिससे चयन समिति की रणनीति को मजबूती मिली हैं।
गौरतलब है कि इस दौरान टीम में कई बड़े बदलाव भी हुए हैं। विराट कोहली, रोहित शर्मा और रविचंद्रन अश्विन जैसे अनुभवी खिलाड़ियों के टेस्ट टीम से बाहर होने के बाद नए नेतृत्व की जिम्मेदारी तय करनी पड़ी थी। इसके तहत शुभमन गिल को टेस्ट टीम की कप्तानी और सूर्यकुमार यादव को बीस ओवर प्रारूप की कमान सौंपी गई हैं।
हालांकि, टेस्ट प्रारूप में टीम का प्रदर्शन उतार-चढ़ाव भरा रहा है, जबकि छोटे प्रारूपों में टीम लगातार बेहतर खेल दिखा रही हैं। चयन समिति ने कई अहम फैसले भी लिए, जिनमें ईशान किशन की वापसी और कुछ बड़े खिलाड़ियों को बाहर रखना शामिल रहा हैं।
बता दें कि चयन प्रक्रिया में साहसिक फैसले लेने की अगरकर की छवि रही है और यही कारण है कि बोर्ड उन्हें आगे भी जिम्मेदारी देना चाहता है। मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार चयन समिति के अन्य सदस्य अभी नए हैं, ऐसे में अनुभव और नेतृत्व को बनाए रखना जरूरी माना जा रहा हैं।
