क्रिकेट में आए दिन कई रिकॉर्ड बनते हैं तो कई रिकॉर्ड टूटते हैं। वहीं टी20 मैच में 5 विकेट हॉल प्राप्त करना किसी भी गेंदबाज के लिए आसान बात नहीं है। जसप्रीत बुमराह भी ऐसा कारनामा नहीं कर पाए हैं आजतक। लेकिन एक गेंदबाज ने 5 नहीं बल्कि 9 विकेट हॉल निकालकर पूरे क्रिकेट जगत में सनसनी मचा दी है। उस गेंदबाज ने ऐसा वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड बना दिया है जो अभी तक नहीं बना था। इस गेंदबाज की परफॉर्मेंस इतनी खतरनाक थी कि एक ओवर में हैट्रिक ली थी, जबकि एक ओवर में चार विकेट निकाले थे।
दरअसल, ब्राजील की लॉरा कार्डोसो ने रिकॉर्ड बुक में अपना नाम दर्ज करा लिया, वह पुरुषों या महिलाओं के टी20 क्रिकेट में एक ही पारी में 9 विकेट लेने वाली पहली खिलाड़ी बन गई हैं। कार्डोसो ने लेसोथो के खिलाफ शानदार गेंदबाजी की जिसमें उन्होंने तीन ओवर ही फेंके और 4 रन देकर 9 विकेट अपने नाम किए। जो टी20 क्रिकेट में अबतक के सबसे अच्छे गेंदबाजी आंकड़े हैं। 3 ओवर में से दो ओवर में तो एक भी रन कार्डोसो ने नहीं दिया।
पिछला सबसे अच्छा प्रदर्शन भूटान के सोनम येशे के नाम था, जिन्होंने 2025 में पुरुषों के टी20 में म्यांमार के खिलाफ सिर्फ सात रन देकर आठ विकेट लिए थे। महिलाओं के टी20 रिकॉर्ड की बात करें तो कार्डोसो ने 2024 में मंगोलिया के खिलाफ इंडोनेशिया की रोहमालिया के 7/0 के आंकड़ों को पछाड़ दिया है और नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर दिया है। इस रिकॉर्ड को अब 10 विकेट लेकर ही तोड़ा जा सकता है, जो कि संभव है लेकिन बहुत ही ज्यादा मुश्किल भी है।
