रॉयटर्स की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, जियोस्टार ने अपने स्थानीय पार्टनर टी स्पोर्ट्स के साथ किया गया एग्रीमेंट तत्काल प्रभाव से खत्म कर दिया। कंपनी का कहना है कि टी स्पोर्ट्स ने भुगतान समय पर नहीं किया और लगातार डिफॉल्ट करता रहा, जिसके चलते यह फैसला लिया गया।

इसके अलावा, जियोस्टार ने महिला प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) के प्रसारण से जुड़ी डील भी इसी कारण खत्म कर दी है। यानी दोनों बड़े क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट्स के प्रसारण अधिकार अब बांग्लादेश में खाली हो गए हैं। कुल मिलाकर, यह मामला सिर्फ एक बिजनेस विवाद नहीं बल्कि खेल, राजनीति और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों से जुड़ा बड़ा मुद्दा बन गया है, जिसका असर सीधे क्रिकेट फैंस पर पड़ रहा है।
