आईसीसी टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2026 में पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट टीम का बेहद निराशाजनक प्रदर्शन रहा, जिसके कारण खिलाड़ियों को काफी आलोचना का सामना करना पड़ा रहा है। वहीं पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने खिलाड़ियों के खिलाफ एक्शन लेते हुए 50-50 लाख पाकिस्तानी रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया। अब इन सब के बीच एक चौंकाने वाली खबर ये कि, पाकिस्तान टीम ने अपने सभी मैच श्रीलंका में खेले थे जहां होटल में एक ऐसी घटना हुई जिससे पाकिस्तान टीम के मैनेजर नवीद चीमा को सख्त एक्शन लेने की जरूरत पड़ गई है।
श्रीलंका में होटल स्टाफ के साथ पाकिस्तान के एक खिलाड़ी पर कथित तौर पर बुरे व्यवहार का आरोप लग है, जिसके बाद इस खिलाड़ी पर जुर्माना भी लगाया गया है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक ये घटना श्रीलंका के कैंडी स्थित गोल्डन क्राउन होटल में हुई, जहां पाकिस्तान टीम टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के लिए ठहरी हुई थी।
आरोप के अनुसार, पाकिस्तानी टीम के एक खिलाड़ी ने महिला हाउसकीपिंग स्टाफ के साथ खराब व्यवहार किया जिसके बाद होटल के अधिकारियों ने इसकी शिकायत पाकिस्तानी टीम के मैनेजर नवीद चीमा से की। इस मामले के बाद नवीद चीमा ने खिलाड़ी पर जुर्माना लगाया और होटल मैनेजमेंट से माफी भी मांगी।
पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट टीम के मैनेजर नवीद चीमा की ओऱ से इस मामले को जल्दी निपटाया गया था लेकिन अब उस खिलाड़ी को पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड की डिसिप्लिनरी कमिटी के सामने पेश होने की संभावना है जहां आगे की कार्रवाई हो सकती है।
