फ्रांस की राजधानी पेरिस समेत कई शहरों में स्कूलों की समस्याओं को लेकर छात्रों का प्रदर्शन उग्र हो गया. प्रदर्शनकारी छात्रों ने कूड़ेदानों में आग लगा दी और पुलिस पर सामान फेंका, जिसके जवाब में पुलिस ने लाठीचार्ज और आंसू गैस का इस्तेमाल किया. छात्रों ने शिक्षकों की कमी, भीड़भाड़ वाली कक्षाओं, लंबे पढ़ाई के घंटों और गर्मी में खराब सुविधाओं को लेकर नाराजगी जताई. शिक्षा मंत्रालय के अनुसार करीब 400 स्कूल प्रदर्शन से प्रभावित हुए, जबकि 40 स्कूल पूरी तरह बंद रहे. घटना में 40 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया और 10 छात्र व स्कूल कर्मचारी घायल हुए.
