Others Iran's foreign minister submits new plan to reopen Strait of Hormuz | BBC News
BBC NewsIran's Foreign Minister, at the United Nations in New York, says mediators have submitted a new plan to the White House, that would pave the way for the Strait of Hormuz to reopen within a week. The Strait is a key waterway through which twenty percent of the world's oil supplies passed, before the war. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that talks with the US on other issues, including Iran's nuclear programme, would start afterwards. DWसंयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा में पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने भारत पर सिंधु जल संधि को एकतरफा तरीके से स्थगित करने का आरोप लगाया. उन्होंने कहा कि संधि को रोकने का कोई कानूनी आधार नहीं है. शरीफ ने भारत-पाकिस्तान तनाव के दौरान हस्तक्षेप के लिए अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डॉनल्ड ट्रंप का भी आभार जताया और चेतावनी दी कि पाकिस्तान के हिस्से के पानी को रोकने या मोड़ने की किसी भी कोशिश को युद्ध की कार्रवाई माना जाएगा. Addressing the UN General Assembly, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accused India of unilaterally putting the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance. He said the move lacked any legal basis and warned that any attempt to stop or divert Pakistan’s share of water would be treated as an act of war. Sharif also thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his intervention during India-Pakistan tensions.
