The report says Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi objected on record at least 14 times in 10 months to steps taken by the Commission, from keeping them in the dark to adding and deleting voter names. The Election Commission has hit back, saying all its decisions, including SIR, were unanimous and approved by all three Commissioners. It called the notes "differing views" that are a normal part of decision-making. Are internal office notings being sold as "stolen elections"? The ECI says its written notes and internal checks ensure transparency. It also says all orders follow statutory procedures under the 2023 Act, which requires decisions to be unanimous "as far as possible" and by majority if members differ.
