The US is continuously trying to pressure and threaten India into submission, but India is responding firmly through its strategic approach. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court alleging interference during a raid in Kolkata and intimidation of its officials. ED claims that during searches conducted under the PMLA, the situation deteriorated and attempts were made to influence the panchnama. However, during Friday’s hearing, chaos in the courtroom prevented proceedings, and the court has now scheduled the next hearing for November 14. Fourteen people have died in a private bus accident in Haripurdhar of Renukaji, Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh. The deceased include children and women. The accident occurred around 3 pm on Friday. The injured were shifted to IGMC Shimla, and hospitals in Nahan, Solan, and Rajgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders have expressed grief over the incident. A total of 52 people were injured, while 66 passengers were on board the bus. A large-scale reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers took place in Bihar on Friday. As part of this, 71 IPS officers were transferred. The Superintendent of Police of Jehanabad was also transferred. IPS Vineet Kumar has been posted to Saran as the Senior Superintendent of Police. The Enforcement Directorate has clarified that its recent action is against “Indian PAC Consulting Private Limited” and not directly against I-PAC. Opposition parties are calling it a political raid, while the investigating agency says it is probing the financial transactions of a private company. The company is GST-registered in seven states, including West Bengal and Bihar. DRDO has successfully tested a ‘scramjet engine’ for hypersonic missile technology for 12 minutes.
