उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में बनी मस्जिद को प्रशासन ने 5 सितंबर की सुबह ध्वस्त कर दिया। प्रशासन के मुताबिक मस्जिद सरकारी जमीन पर अनधिकृत रूप से बनी थी और अदालत में अपील खारिज होने के बाद कार्रवाई की गई। मस्जिद गिराए जाने पर ऑल इंडिया इमाम एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष मौलाना साजिद रशीदी ने कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी। उन्होंने कार्रवाई को “संविधान पर कलंक” बताया । रशीदी ने जमीन के पुराने रिकॉर्ड का भी हवाला देते हुए इस कार्रवाई पर सवाल उठाए। The mosque located in the Saharanpur Collectorate complex in Uttar Pradesh was demolished by the administration on the morning of September 5.
