News18#nepal #nepalflood #flashflood अनुमान लगाया जा रहा था कि एक भूकंप आया और ऊपर कहीं या तो कोई ग्लेशियर से बनी झील की दीवार टूट गई भूकंप की वजह से। क्योंकि वहां पहले भी ऐसा हो चुका था। या फिर भूकंप से चट्टानें खिसकीं ऊपर पहाड़ों में तिब्बत में और उन्होंने थोड़े टाइम नदी का रास्ता रोका और एक झील बनी और फिर किसी भूकंप से ही झील की दीवार टूट गई होगी। ये भी बताया जा रहा था कि 4.4 का एक भूकंप आया भी था वहां। और उसी टाइम आया था जब ये पानी तबाही लाता हुआ बहने लगा था। तो उस भूकंप को इस बाढ़ से सीधा-सीधा जोड़ा जा रहा था। लेकिन बाद में अमेरिका की भूगर्भ एजेंसी USGS ने साफ किया कि धरती में कंपन तो हुई थी। जो 4.4 की कंपन रिकॉर्ड हुई थी वो तो हुई थी, लेकिन वो भूकंप की वजह से नहीं थी। समझे आप? वो कह रहे हैं कि धरती हिली थी, लेकिन भूकंप नहीं था। तो फिर क्या था? धरती हिलने को ही तो भूकंप कहते हैं। नहीं, भूकंप की वजह से धरती तो हिलती ही है। लेकिन धरती बिना भूकंप के भी हिल सकती है। यही कह रहे हैं कई भूगर्भ वैज्ञानिक। कि वहां लगता है कि बर्फ़ का पहाड़ टूटा और उसकी वजह से धरती में कंपन रिकॉर्ड हुई रिक्टर स्केल पर 4.4 की। ये बहुत ही ख़तरनाक ख़बर है अगर ऐसा हुआ हो तो। मतलब बर्फ़ का पहाड़ टूट गया। और ऐसा टूटा कि धरती को हिला दिया। It was being speculated that an earthquake had occurred, and that the wall of a glacier-formed lake had broken somewhere above, because this had happened before. Or, the earthquake had caused rocks to slide high up in the mountains in Tibet, blocking the river's path for a while, forming a lake. It was also being reported that a magnitude 4.4 earthquake had struck there, and it had occurred at the same time as the water began flowing, causing devastation. So, that earthquake was being directly linked to the flood. But later, the USGS, the US Geological Survey's agency, clarified that there had been an earthquake. The 4.4 magnitude tremor recorded did occur, but it wasn't caused by an earthquake. Do you understand? They're saying the earth shook, but it wasn't an earthquake. So, what was it? Earthquakes are what we call earthquakes. No, earthquakes do cause earthshaking. But the earth can shake without an earthquake, too. This is what many geologists are saying. It appears that an ice mountain broke, causing a tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale. This is very dangerous news if this happened. Meaning, an ice mountain broke.
