News18Navgachhia Makhana Farming News: कभी गोलियों की तड़तड़ाहट और आपराधिक घटनाओं के लिए चर्चित नवगछिया अब एक नई क्रांति का गवाह बन रहा है. केला, मक्का और कलाई (उड़द) के इस पारंपरिक गढ़ में अब मिथिलांचल और कोसी की तर्ज पर 'सुपरफूड' मखाना की बड़े पैमाने पर खेती शुरू हो चुकी है. जगतपुर के जलजमाव वाले इलाके, जहां साल के सात महीने पानी भरा रहता था. अब किसानों की आय का नया जरिया बन चुके हैं. सबौर कृषि विश्वविद्यालय (BAU) के वैज्ञानिकों के मार्गदर्शन में किसानों ने लगभग 50 एकड़ से अधिक जमीन पर पहली बार मखाने की फसल उगाई है. शुरुआती चुनौतियों के बावजूद पहली ही उपज में किसानों को शानदार मुनाफा हुआ है. मखाने के अलावा अब नवगछिया के किसान सेब, संतरा, अनानास और एपल बेर जैसी व्यावसायिक बागवानी अपनाकर अपनी किस्मत बदल रहे हैं. जलजमाव को अभिशाप मानने वाला नवगछिया अब तकनीक और सही दिशा के दम पर समृद्धि की नई कहानी लिख रहा है.

Infantino said it had become clear the project had "created divisions" that are "no longer in the interest" of its original objective. Infantino had offered Fifa's 211 member associations $40m (£30m) if they backed a proposal for private investment in its tournaments, including the men's and women's World Cups. However, Uefa - which governs European football - responded by voting to boycott World Cups if the plans went ahead, and other governing bodies also voiced their opposition.
