सरकार ने निजी बीएस-6 वाहनों के लिए पीयूसीसी वैधता बढ़ाकर तीन साल करने का प्रस्ताव दिया
prabhasakshiनयी दिल्ली, 27 जुलाई सरकार ने वाहन मालिकों पर अनुपालन बोझ कम करने के लिए छह साल तक पुराने निजी भारत चरण-6 (बीएस-6) वाहनों के लिए प्रदूषण नियंत्रण प्रमाणपत्र (पीयूसीसी) की वैधता को मौजूदा एक साल से बढ़ाकर तीन साल करने का प्रस्ताव दिया है। सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय ने एक मसौदा अधिसूचना में कहा कि छह से 10 साल तक पुराने बीएस-6 वाहनों को हर दो साल में अपने पीयूसीसी प्रमाणपत्र का नवीनीकरण कराना होगा और 10 वर्ष से अधिक पुराने वाहनों को हर छह महीने में ऐसा करना होगा। अधिसूचना के अनुसार बीएस-4 उत्सर्जन मानकों का अनुपालन करने वाले सभी मोटर वाहनों को हर छह महीने में अपने पीयूसीसी का नवीनीकरण कराना होगा।
इसके अलावा बीएस-1, बीएस-2 और बीएस-3 उत्सर्जन मानकों का अनुपालन करने वाले सभी मोटर वाहनों को हर तीन महीने में अपने पीयूसीसी का नवीनीकरण कराना होगा। बीएस या भारत चरण देश में वाहन उत्सर्जन मानकों से संबंधित है। इसके जरिये कार्बन मोनोऑक्साइड, नाइट्रोजन ऑक्साइड, हाइड्रोकार्बन और पार्टिकुलेट मैटर जैसे प्रदूषकों की सीमा तय की जाती है।
बीएस-4 वर्ष 2017 से 2020 तक लागू था। बीएस-6 अप्रैल, 2020 से लागू है। प्रदूषण नियंत्रण में तेजी लाने के लिए भारत ने बीएस-पांच को छोड़ दिया और सीधे बीएस-छह पर आ गया।
ये वाहन बहुत कम प्रदूषकों का उत्सर्जन करते हैं और इन्हें कम सल्फर वाले बीएस-छह ईंधन की आवश्यकता होती है।
