भारतीय विकेटकीपर-बल्लेबाज ईशान किशन का कहना है कि उन्हें अभिषेक शर्मा और वैभव सूर्यवंशी की विस्फोटक बल्लेबाजी को लेकर हो रही चर्चाओं से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता क्योंकि उनका पूरा ध्यान सिर्फ अपनी भूमिका निभाने और टीम के लिए अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने पर रहता है।
भारत ने शनिवार को दूसरे टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच में अभिषेक शर्मा (08) और वैभव सूर्यवंशी (20) के विकेट पहले तीन ओवरों में ही गंवा दिए थे और स्कोर दो विकेट पर 29 हो गया था। इसके बाद किशन ने 44 गेंदों में 81 रन की शानदार पारी खेलकर टीम को पांच विकेट पर 219 रन तक पहुंचाया।
भारत ने जिम्बाब्वे को इस मैच में 90 रन से हराकर तीन मैच की श्रृंखला में 2-0 की अजेय बढ़त हासिल कर ली। रविवार को दोनों टीमों के बीच आखिरी मुकाबला खेला जाएगा।
अपने तीन टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैचों में दूसरी बार अर्धशतक लगाने वाले 28 वर्षीय किशन ने कहा, ‘‘बाहर क्या हो रहा है, मैं उस पर ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं देता। ’’
किशन ने कहा, ‘‘मुझे पता है कि मुझे किस तरह बल्लेबाजी करनी है। सबसे जरूरी बात यह है कि आप उसी पल में रहें। यह मत सोचिए कि कौन ज्यादा रन बना रहा है या कौन ज्यादा छक्के-चौके लगा रहा है। ’’
किशन का मानना है कि शुरुआती विकेट जल्दी गिरने पर तीसरे नंबर के बल्लेबाज की जिम्मेदारी और बढ़ जाती है।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हर खिलाड़ी की अपनी पहचान हो सकती है, लेकिन तीसरे नंबर पर बल्लेबाजी करते समय आपको समझना होता है कि जब टीम के दो विकेट जल्दी गिर जाएं तो क्या करना है। ’’
भारत की खराब शुरुआत के बाद किशन ने समझदारी से पारी को संभाला। उन्होंने 31 गेंदों में अपना अर्धशतक पूरा किया और फिर अगली 13 गेंदों में 31 रन जोड़कर तेजी से रन बनाए।
उनकी पारी में मिड-विकेट पर लगाए गए दमदार शॉट आकर्षण का केंद्र रहे।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘आप लगातार बल्लेबाजी करना चाहते हैं। कभी मौके का फायदा उठाना होता है तो कभी साझेदारी बनानी होती है। इसके लिए पिच और मैच की परिस्थितियों को समझना जरूरी है। ’’
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘जब आप मैदान पर होते हैं तो आपको सिर्फ यह समझना चाहिए कि आसपास क्या हो रहा है और मैच से आपको क्या हासिल करना है। ’’
किशन ने कहा कि कठिन समय में खिलाड़ियों को उन्हीं चीजों पर ध्यान देना चाहिए जो उनके नियंत्रण में हों।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘जब चीजें आपके पक्ष में नहीं होतीं, तब उन बातों पर दुखी होने के बजाय अपने प्रदर्शन पर ध्यान देना बेहतर होता है जो आपके नियंत्रण में हैं। ’’
किशन ने 15 वर्षीय युवा बल्लेबाज वैभव सूर्यवंशी की भी जमकर तारीफ की। इंग्लैंड दौरे पर कठिन शुरुआत के बाद वैभव ने पहले टी20 में अर्धशतक लगाकर शानदार वापसी की थी।
किशन ने कहा, ‘‘वैभव बहुत समझदार है। उसे पता है कि उसे कैसे बल्लेबाजी करनी है और मैदान के अंदर और बाहर खुद को कैसे संभालना है। ’’
हालांकि उन्होंने कहा कि इतनी कम उम्र में मिली लोकप्रियता के बीच वैभव का जमीन से जुड़े रहना बेहद जरूरी है।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘जब आप भारत के लिए खेलते हैं तो आपको पता होना चाहिए कि किस चीज पर ध्यान देना है। ’’
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘मैं, अभिषेक, अक्षर भाई और टीम के कई अन्य खिलाड़ी उसे लगातार यही कहते हैं कि क्रिकेट पर ध्यान दो, सोशल मीडिया या बाहरी शोर पर नहीं। ’’
किशन का मानना है कि यदि वैभव अपना ध्यान बनाए रखते हैं तो वह अकेले दम पर मैच का रुख बदल सकते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘अगर वह क्रीज पर टिक जाता है तो टीम के लिए बड़ा अंतर पैदा कर सकता है। पहली ही गेंद से आक्रामक खेलने वाला बल्लेबाज पावरप्ले में टीम को 80-90 रन तक पहुंचा सकता है।
