Cricket in LA28 Olympics: लॉस एंजिलिस ओलंपिक 2028 (LA28) में क्रिकेट की वापसी से पहले महिला क्रिकेट के इवेंट के लिए 4 टीमों ने अपना टिकट पक्का कर लिया। भारत, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, दक्षिण अफ्रीका और ग्रेट ब्रिटेन ने महिला टी20 विश्व कप 2026 में शानदार प्रदर्शन के दम पर ओलंपिक के लिए क्वालिफाई किया है।
इन चारों टीमों ने अपने-अपने महाद्वीप में सबसे बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने वाली पात्र टीम के रूप में जगह बनाई। ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने ओशिनिया ग्रुप, भारत ने एशिया, दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने अफ्रीका और इंग्लैंड की बदौलत ग्रेट ब्रिटेन ने यूरोप का कोटा हासिल किया है।
महिला क्रिकेट इवेंट के लिए 4 टीमें क्वालिफाई
मेंस क्रिकेट में 4 टीमें अबतक तय नहीं
मेजबान के नाते अमेरिका सीधे क्वालिफाई
वहीं अमेरिका की महिला टीम इस समय 20वें स्थान पर है। अगर वह शीर्ष-15 में जगह नहीं बना पाती है तो यह स्वत: मिलने वाला स्थान 1 मार्च 2027 की आईसीसी टी20 रैंकिंग में सबसे ऊंची रैंकिंग वाली ऐसी टीम को दिया जाएगा, जो पहले से क्वालिफाई नहीं होगी।
छठी टीम का फैसला ओलंपिक क्वालिफायर से होगा
LA28 ओलंपिक में वुमेंस और मेंस दोनों वर्गों में 6-6 टीमें खेलेंगी। इन्हें तीन-तीन टीमों के दो ग्रुप में बांटा जाएगा। हर टीम पहले अपने ग्रुप की दोनों टीमों से खेलेगी, फिर दूसरे ग्रुप की दो टीमों से मुकाबला करेगी। लीग चरण के बाद शीर्ष दो टीमें स्वर्ण पदक के लिए भिड़ेंगी, जबकि तीसरे और चौथे स्थान की टीमें कांस्य पदक के लिए मुकाबला करेंगी। दोनों वर्गों को मिलाकर कुल 28 मैच खेले जाएंगे और सभी मुकाबले कैलिफोर्निया के पोमोना में बनाए जा रहे क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में होंगे।
