महिला टी20 विश्व कप 2026 में भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच खेला गया मुकाबला मैदान पर तो एकतरफा रहा। लेकिन मैच के बाद एक बार फिर खिलाड़ियों के बीच हैंडशेक न होने का मुद्दा चर्चा में आ गया। बर्मिंघम के एजबेस्टन में खेले गए इस मैच में हरमनप्रीत कौर की अगुआई वाली भारतीय टीम ने पाकिस्तान को 64 रन से हराकर टूर्नामेंट में शानदार शुरुआत की।
हालांकि मैच के बाद सबसे ज्यादा चर्चा दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ियों के बीच हैंडशेक नहीं होने को लेकर हुई। एशिया कप 2025 के बाद से चली आ रही यह स्थिति महिला क्रिकेट में भी देखने को मिली। टॉस के दौरान भी भारतीय कप्तान हरमनप्रीत कौर और पाकिस्तान की कप्तान फातिमा सना ने एक-दूसरे से कोई बातचीत नहीं की थी।
