भारत और अफगानिस्तान के बीच खेले जा रहे एकमात्र टेस्ट मुकाबले में तीसरे दिन का खेल पूरी तरह भारत के नाम रहा है। युवा स्पिन गेंदबाज मानव सुथार ने अपने पहले ही टेस्ट मैच में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए अफगानिस्तान की बल्लेबाजी को बिखेर दिया और भारत को मुकाबले में बेहद मजबूत स्थिति में पहुंचा दिया।

बता दें कि तीसरे दिन अफगानिस्तान ने अपनी पहली पारी पांच विकेट पर 113 रन से आगे बढ़ाई थी। हालांकि भारतीय गेंदबाजों ने मेहमान टीम को ज्यादा देर टिकने का मौका नहीं दिया। खासकर मानव सुथार ने निचले क्रम के बल्लेबाजों को लगातार झटके देते हुए अफगानिस्तान की पूरी टीम को 152 रन पर समेट दिया।

मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार मानव सुथार ने 22 ओवर की गेंदबाजी में केवल 33 रन देकर छह विकेट हासिल किए हैं। यह उनके अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर का पहला टेस्ट मैच है और उन्होंने अपने पदार्पण मुकाबले को यादगार बना दिया है। उनके शानदार प्रदर्शन की बदौलत भारत को पहली पारी में 412 रन की विशाल बढ़त मिली, जिसके बाद अफगानिस्तान को दोबारा बल्लेबाजी के लिए मैदान पर उतरना पड़ा।

गौरतलब है कि मानव सुथार अब टेस्ट पदार्पण में पांच या उससे अधिक विकेट लेने वाले भारत के दसवें गेंदबाज और सातवें स्पिनर बन गए हैं। उनका प्रदर्शन पिछले 38 वर्षों में किसी भारतीय पदार्पण करने वाले गेंदबाज के सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शनों में शामिल हो गया है। इस सूची में उनसे आगे केवल नरेंद्र हिरवानी हैं, जिन्होंने वर्ष 1988 में वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ 61 रन देकर आठ विकेट लिए थे।

अफगानिस्तान की ओर से रहमत शाह ने सबसे ज्यादा 60 रन बनाए, लेकिन उन्हें भी मानव सुथार ने ही पवेलियन भेजा है। रहमत शाह के आउट होने के बाद अफगानिस्तान की पारी तेजी से ढह गई और पूरी टीम 58.4 ओवर में सिमट गई।

मानव सुथार के प्रदर्शन की क्रिकेट जगत में भी जमकर सराहना हो रही है। भारत के पूर्व कप्तान सुनील गावस्कर ने युवा स्पिनर की तारीफ करते हुए कहा कि किसी स्पिन गेंदबाज की सफलता केवल पिच की मदद पर निर्भर नहीं होती है। उनके अनुसार गेंदबाजी में कौशल, नियंत्रण और लगातार सही स्थान पर गेंद डालने की क्षमता सबसे ज्यादा मायने रखती है।

सुनील गावस्कर ने कहा कि मानव सुथार ने यही गुण अपने पदार्पण मुकाबले में दिखाए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि युवा गेंदबाज ने गेंद को हवा में बहाव दिया, सही जगह पर लगातार गेंदबाजी की और बल्लेबाजों को अपनी योजना के जाल में फंसाया है। उनके मुताबिक विकेट से अत्यधिक मदद मिले बिना भी कोई गेंदबाज अपनी कला के दम पर सफल हो सकता है और मानव सुथार इसका बेहतरीन उदाहरण बनकर सामने आए।

बता दें कि राजस्थान से आने वाले 23 वर्षीय मानव सुथार लंबे समय से घरेलू क्रिकेट में लगातार अच्छा प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे। उन्होंने प्रथम श्रेणी क्रिकेट के 29 मुकाबलों में 129 विकेट हासिल किए हैं। इसके अलावा बल्ले से भी उपयोगी योगदान देने की क्षमता रखते हैं। घरेलू स्तर पर शानदार प्रदर्शन के बाद उन्हें राष्ट्रीय टीम में जगह मिली थी और उन्होंने अपने पहले ही मैच में चयनकर्ताओं के भरोसे को सही साबित कर दिया।

भारत अब इस मुकाबले में पूरी तरह मजबूत स्थिति में दिखाई दे रहा है। वहीं मानव सुथार की यह यादगार शुरुआत भारतीय क्रिकेट को भविष्य के लिए एक और प्रतिभाशाली बाएं हाथ के स्पिन गेंदबाज के रूप में नई उम्मीद देती हुई नजर आ रही है।
