इतिहास में पहली बार सऊदी में तहलका मचा आया भारत, दुनिया हैरान

मोदी सरकार ने भारत के इतिहास में पहली बार सऊदी अरब में एक ऐसा कदम उठाया है जो आज तक नहीं उठाया गया। पीएम मोदी के लिए खाड़ी देश हमेशा से अहम रहे हैं। लेकिन ईरान अमेरिका जंग ने खाड़ी देशों में जो अस्थिरता और ऊर्जा संकट पैदा किया है उसे देखते हुए भारत ने एक बहुत बड़ा कदम उठाया है। भारत ने आजादी के बाद पहली बार सऊदी अरब में किसी गैर मुस्लिम राजदूत की तैनाती की है। अभी तक भारत हमेशा सऊदी अरब में मुस्लिम राजदूत भेजता आया है। लेकिन अब एक बड़े मकसद की वजह से 2 जून 2026 को विदेश मंत्रालय ने विपुल को सऊदी अरब का अगला राजदूत नियुक्त कर दिया है। आपको बता दें कि विपुल अपना नाम सिर्फ विपुल ही लिखते हैं।

विपुल के नाम से उनका धर्म तो साफ नहीं होता लेकिन सभी रिपोर्ट्स में उन्हें नॉन मुस्लिम और फर्स्ट हिंदू एंबेसडर के संदर्भ में बताया गया है। सऊदी अरब में किसी गैर मुस्लिम राजदूत को भेजना भारत और सऊदी संबंधों में नए दौर का संकेत माना जा रहा है। ऐसा क्यों कहा जा रहा है वह हम आपको बताएंगे। लेकिन उससे पहले बता दें कि विपुल की नियुक्ति दशकों पुरानी उस परंपरा में एक बड़ा बदलाव है जिसके तहत भारत पारंपरिक रूप से सऊदी अरब में मुस्लिम राजनयों को और जेधा में मुस्लिम काउंसिल जनरल्स की नियुक्ति करता आया है। ऐसा इसलिए किया जाता रहा है क्योंकि भारत से लाखों मुस्लिम हर साल हज के लिए जाते हैं। जिसके चलते सऊदी अरब में मुस्लिम राजदूत का होना उन हज यात्रियों के लिए थोड़ा आसान हो जाता है। सऊदी अरब में भारत के मुस्लिम राजदूत हज तीर्थ यात्रा के इंतजामों में अहम भूमिका निभाते आए हैं। लेकिन पहली बार किसी मुस्लिम राजदूत की जगह विपुल को भेजा गया है।

यह बड़ा बदलाव भारत और सऊदी अरब के रिश्तों के विकास को दिखाता है। यह रिश्ते अब सिर्फ हज तीर्थ यात्रा और तेल तक सीमित नहीं रहे हैं। बल्कि व्यापार, निवेश, रक्षा, सहयोग, टेक्नोलॉजी और क्षेत्रीय सुरक्षा जैसे क्षेत्रों को शामिल करते हुए एक व्यापक रणनीतिक साझेदारी में बदल गए हैं। भारत ने देखा कि सिर्फ ईरान जंग की वजह से खाड़ी देश आपस में भिड़ गए, लेकिन शायद भारत चाहता है कि खाड़ी देश आपस में ना लड़े। अगर वह आपस में लड़ते हैं तो उसका असर दुनिया पर पड़ता है। कुछ एक्सपर्ट्स का मानना है कि भारत अब संयुक्त अरब अमीरात की तरह सऊदी अरब को भी टेक्नोलॉजी और हथियार बेचना चाहता है जिसके लिए शायद विपुल को भेजा जा रहा है। आपको बता दें कि विपुल मिस्र में काम कर चुके हैं। उससे पहले वो 2017 से 20 तक दुबई में भारत के काउंसिल जनरल रहे हैं। उन्होंने विदेश मंत्रालय में खाड़ी देशों के लिए संयुक्त सचिव के तौर पर भी काम किया है। 2023 से विपुल कतर में भारत के राजदूत हैं। यानी उन्हें खाड़ी देशों की रणनीति और राजनीति दोनों पता है। एक्सपर्ट्स की मानें तो भारत का यह कदम सऊदी अरब और संयुक्त अरब अमीरात के बीच दूरी को कम करने के लिए भी हो सकता है। विपुल दुबई और रियाद के बीच एक ब्रिज का काम कर सकते हैं।
