हैदराबाद में खेले गए मुकाबले में सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद ने पंजाब किंग्स को 33 रन से हराया, लेकिन 22 वर्षीय ऑस्ट्रेलियाई खिलाड़ी कूपर कोनोली की बल्लेबाजी इस मुकाबले की सबसे बड़ी चर्चा बन गई।
बता दें कि हैदराबाद के राजीव गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में कोनोली ने 59 गेंदों पर नाबाद 107 रन की शानदार पारी खेली। गौरतलब है कि इस शतक के साथ वह आईपीएल इतिहास में सबसे कम उम्र में शतक लगाने वाले विदेशी बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं।
मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार, कोनोली ने 22 साल 257 दिन की उम्र में यह उपलब्धि हासिल की और इस मामले में क्विंटन डिकॉक, डेविड वॉर्नर और डेविड मिलर जैसे दिग्गजों को पीछे छोड़ दिया। उनकी इस पारी में सात चौके और आठ छक्के शामिल रहे, जो दबाव की स्थिति में एक बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन माना जा रहा है।
गौरतलब है कि यह पारी सिर्फ व्यक्तिगत रिकॉर्ड तक सीमित नहीं रही। कोनोली ने 22 साल की उम्र में पंजाब किंग्स के लिए सबसे बड़ी पारी खेलने का रिकॉर्ड भी अपने नाम कर लिया है। इससे पहले यह रिकॉर्ड प्रभसिमरन सिंह के नाम था, जिन्होंने 103 रन बनाए थे।
कोनोली ने अपनी इस पारी में आठ छक्के लगाए, जो इस उम्र में पंजाब किंग्स के किसी बल्लेबाज द्वारा एक पारी में सबसे ज्यादा छक्कों का नया रिकॉर्ड है। खास बात यह रही कि उन्होंने इसी सत्र में बनाए गए अपने पुराने रिकॉर्ड को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया।
वहीं, सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के खिलाफ पंजाब की ओर से यह दूसरी सबसे बड़ी व्यक्तिगत पारी भी बन गई है। इस मामले में उन्होंने शिखर धवन और हाशिम अमला जैसे खिलाड़ियों को पीछे छोड़ दिया। हालांकि क्रिस गेल की 104 रन की पारी अब भी खास मानी जाती है।
अगर मैच की बात करें तो सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 20 ओवर में चार विकेट पर 235 रन का बड़ा स्कोर खड़ा किया। टीम के लिए हेनरिक क्लासेन ने 69 और ईशान किशन ने 55 रन की अहम पारियां खेलीं, जबकि ट्रेविस हेड और अभिषेक शर्मा ने तेज शुरुआत दिलाई।
जवाब में पंजाब किंग्स की शुरुआत अच्छी नहीं रही और शुरुआती विकेट जल्दी गिर गए। हालांकि इसके बाद कोनोली ने अकेले दम पर टीम को मुकाबले में बनाए रखा, लेकिन दूसरे छोर से सहयोग नहीं मिलने के कारण टीम 20 ओवर में 202 रन ही बना सकी।
हैदराबाद में पंजाब किंग्स के खिलाफ यह सनराइजर्स की लगातार नौवीं जीत रही है, जो आईपीएल इतिहास में किसी एक मैदान पर किसी टीम के खिलाफ सबसे लंबा जीत का सिलसिला बन गया है। इसके अलावा, जब भी सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद ने 220 से अधिक रन बनाए हैं, तब टीम ने हर बार जीत दर्ज की है।
