Life is gone. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the monsoon rains broke the 41-year-old record of highest rainfall in a single day in Delhi. Weather scientists have predicted that heavy rains will continue in most parts of North India including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for the next two days. IMD has also predicted light to moderate rain in Goa, Gujarat.मानसून की एंट्री होने के बाद से हो रही बारिश ने उत्तर भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में जमकर कहर बरपाया है, जहां शनिवार और रविवार को रिकॉर्ड बारिश के कारण बड़े पैमाने पर भूस्खलन और बाढ़ की घटना सामने आई है, जिसमें कम से कम 22 लोगों की जान चली गई. भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (आईएमडी) ने कहा कि मानसून की बारिश ने दिल्ली में एक दिन में सबसे अधिक बारिश का 41 साल का रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया. मौसम वैज्ञानिकों ने अनुमान लगाया है कि अगले दो दिनों तक दिल्ली, हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश, पंजाब, हरियाणा और राजस्थान सहित उत्तर भारत के अधिकांश हिस्सों में भारी बारिश जारी रहेगी. आईएमडी ने गोवा, गुजरात में हल्की से मध्यम बारिश की भी भविष्यवाणी की है.
