आईपीएल 2026 से पहले लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स के कप्तान ऋषभ पंत को लेकर बड़ी खबर सामने आई। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इस सीजन पंत अपने बल्लेबाजी क्रम में बड़ा बदलाव करते हुए नंबर-3 पर उतर सकते। यह फैसला उनके करियर के लिए काफी अहम माना जा रहा है, क्योंकि यह सीजन उनके लिए मेक या ब्रेक साबित हो सकता है।
पंत को 2025 के मेगा ऑक्शन में 27 करोड़ रुपये की रिकॉर्ड कीमत पर खरीदा गया था। ऐसे में उनसे टीम को बड़ी उम्मीदें हैं। पिछले सीजन में वह ज्यादातर नंबर-4 पर बल्लेबाजी करते दिखे, लेकिन अंत के मैचों में उन्होंने खुद को नंबर-3 पर प्रमोट किया था। हालांकि तब तक काफी देर हो चुकी थी और टीम का प्रदर्शन प्रभावित हो चुका था।
अब टीम मैनेजमेंट और कोच जस्टिन लैंगर दोनों इस बात पर सहमत हैं कि पंत का खेल नंबर-3 पर ज्यादा प्रभावी रहता है। टीम के टॉप ऑर्डर को भी लगभग तय माना जा रहा है, जिसमें ए़डेन मार्करम, मिचेल मार्श और पंत शामिल होंगे। इसके लिए निकोलस पूरन को मध्य क्रम में नीचे भेजा जाएगा, जबकि नंबर-4, 5 और 6 को फ्लोटिंग पोजिशन के तौर पर इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा।
पंत के लिए यह सीजन सिर्फ आईपीएल में अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि भारतीय टी20 टीम में वापसी के लिहाज से भी बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। फिलहाल वह टेस्ट टीम के अहम सदस्य हैं जबकि वनडे में केएल राहुल के बैकअप विकेटकीपर के तौर पर देखे जाते हैं। टी20 फॉर्मेट में उनकी जगह संजू सैमसन और ईशान किशन जैसे खिलाड़ी मजबूत कर चुके हैं।
पिछले सीजन में पंत का प्रदर्शन कुछ खास नहीं रहा था। उन्होंने 269 रन बनाए, जिसमें 118 रन एक ही पारी में आए थे और उनका स्ट्राइक रेट 133.17 रहा। ऐसे में इस बार उनसे लगातार अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने की उम्मीद होगी।
टीम की बल्लेबाजी भले ही मजबूत नजर आ रही है, लेकिन गेंदबाजी पिछले सीजन की कमजोर कड़ी रही थी। चोटों के कारण मयंक यादव और मोहसिन खान जैसे गेंदबाज उपलब्ध नहीं थे। अब मेयंक फिट हैं, लेकिन उन्हें लय में आने के लिए और अभ्यास की जरूरत है। इसके अलावा आवेश खान और एनरिक नॉर्खिया भी पेस अटैक का हिस्सा हैं।
इस बीच, पूर्व दक्षिण अफ्रीकी कप्तान फाफ डुप्लेसी ने पंत को इस IPL का सबसे ज्यादा दबाव झेलने वाला खिलाड़ी बताया है। उनका मानना है कि कप्तान के तौर पर पंत को पहले खुद रन बनाने होंगे, तभी टीम का दबाव कम होगा।
कुल मिलाकर, IPL 2026 पंत के लिए एक बड़ा मौका है। अगर वह नंबर-3 पर अपनी भूमिका निभाने में सफल रहते हैं, तो न सिर्फ लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स की किस्मत बदल सकती है, बल्कि उनकी टीम इंडिया में वापसी की राह भी आसान हो सकती है।
