The altercation reportedly began when a balloon thrown by an 11-year-old girl hit a woman from another family, leading to a fatal attack on Tarun while he was returning home. Following his death, severe tension has gripped the area. Members of Hindu organizations, including VHP and Bajrang Dal, staged a massive protest near the Uttam Nagar East Metro station, demanding strict action against the culprits. The protests led to severe traffic jams, and incidents of arson involving a car and a motorcycle were also reported. Delhi Police, along with paramilitary forces, have been heavily deployed to maintain law and order. Four individuals have been arrested, and one minor has been detained so far.
