Republic BharatIn a heartbreaking incident amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, a 32-year-old Indian sailor from Mumbai, Dixit Solanki, lost his life after an unmanned drone attacked the MKD Vyom gasoline tanker, 52 nautical miles off the coast of Oman. The drone strike caused a massive fire in the engine room. While 21 crew members were successfully rescued, Dixit tragically lost his life. Just before the incident, he had texted his father about a "war-like situation in the sea." Back in Kandivali, Mumbai, his 64-year-old father, Amritlal Solanki, is shattered and refuses to garland his son's photo until his body is recovered.
