Internationally, gold jumped by 7 percent and silver by 15 percent. In the Indian market as well, there was a rise in gold and silver prices. Earlier, on Thursday, the prices of both metals had reached an all-time high. But after that, there was a decline for three consecutive days. In the early trade today, the price of gold increased by Rs 6,000 and silver by Rs 15,000. This rise in gold and silver continued till the evening. In the evening, gold increased by Rs 5,000 and silver by Rs 15,000. However, later, a slight decline was seen in gold, but the gain in silver remained. By 8 PM, the increase in gold had fallen to less than Rs 4,000.
