Durga Puja Stampede | Bengal News |Suvendu Adhikari
#KolkataStampede #DurgaPuja #PandalSafety Now, let us show you the visuals from inside Kolkata’s Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal. The interior of the pandal appears extremely dark. The darkness was deliberately maintained as part of the pandal’s theme. To enhance its visual appeal, the organizers used a black background, with stars displayed overhead, creating the impression of a starry night sky. The organizers seemed focused on making the pandal look fancy. Had the same attention been given to safety arrangements, perhaps these lives could have been saved. If you want to create a thrilling experience, think of something else. When such a large crowd gathers in one place, keeping the pandal this dark is clearly an unwise decision. Nineteen people have reportedly paid with their lives for the organizers’ approach. Moreover, large numbers of visitors were arriving at the pandal, but the access route was extremely narrow. People were making their way through this narrow passage to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga. The families of those who lost their lives in this tragedy are asking: How long will innocent families continue to pay with the lives of their loved ones for other people's mistakes?
