Could this Canadian province really become its own country? | BBC News
People in the province of Alberta will vote on 19 October on whether they want to start the process of separating from the rest of Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has called the upcoming referendum a "dangerous bluff", comparing it to the Brexit vote that saw the UK leave the European Union. So, could Alberta really become its own country? The BBC's Nadine Yousif takes us on a journey through Alberta to talk to both supporters and opponents of separation about their hopes for the country's future.
