The NIA has listed former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh's statements as "unrelied" and dropped him as a prosecution witness in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiran murder cases. The agency says the special court directed it to give the accused a list of documents it won't rely on. The cyber expert's testimony is on the same list. In the NIA's own 2021 chargesheet, that expert said Singh got him to change a report on the Telegram channel that claimed the Antilia scare, and had him paid Rs 5 lakh . A retired ACP has since asked the court for a fresh probe into Singh's role, based on that same statement. Singh was Mumbai police commissioner during the Antilia incident. Sachin Vaze worked closely with him . Singh accused then home minister Anil Deshmukh of setting a Rs 100 crore monthly extortion target .
