Aaj TakCEC के खिलाफ कांग्रेस का आज देशभर में प्रदर्शन हुआ. मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ता सड़कों पर उतरे. कहीं पुतला फूंका गया... तो कहीं बैनर-पोस्टर लेकर जमकर नारेबाजी हुई. कई जगह प्रदर्शनकारियों ने बैरिकेडिंग पार करने की कोशिश की, जिसके बाद पुलिस और प्रदर्शनकारियों के बीच धक्का-मुक्की भी देखने को मिली. चंडीगढ़ और पटना में प्रदर्शनकारियों को रोकने के लिए पुलिस ने वाटर कैनन का इस्तेमाल किया. यानी चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ कांग्रेस का विरोध अब सड़क पर भी जोर पकड़ता दिखाई दिया...हालांकि इस देशव्यापी प्रदर्शन में विपक्षी गठबंधन के बाकी दलों की मौजूदगी सीमित रही... कई सहयोगी दलों ने कांग्रेस के इस प्रदर्शन से दूरी बनाए रखी... The Congress staged nationwide protests today against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). Party workers took to the streets demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar; in some places, effigies were burned, while elsewhere, protesters raised slogans while brandishing banners and posters. At several locations, protesters attempted to breach police barricades, leading to scuffles between them and the police. Police used water cannons to stop protesters in Chandigarh and Patna.
