At the centre of the latest debate is the CCTV evidence trail. Documents and statements cited in the case raise questions over whether CCTV footage was viewed and backed up in 2020, why recordings for crucial dates are reportedly unavailable now, and what happened to the hard disk and the alleged backup material. These issues require a complete chain-of-custody examination by the CBI.
