क्रिकेटर्स वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन ऑफ बांग्लादेश (CWAB) ने बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट बोर्ड (BCB) के डायरेक्टर एम नजमुल इस्लाम को अल्टीमेटम दिया है कि अगर गुरुवार दोपहर 1 बजे तक वे अपने पद से इस्तीफा नहीं देते हैं, तो खिलाड़ी क्रिकेट के सभी फॉर्मेट का बॉयकॉट करेंगे। अल्टीमेटम यह है कि उन्हें बांग्लादेश प्रीमियर लीग (BPL) मैच से पहले पद छोड़ना होगा, जो स्थानीय समय के अनुसार दोपहर 1 बजे शुरू होगा। हालांकि, बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट बोर्ड (BCB) ने डायरेक्टर एम नजमुल इस्लाम के विवादित कमेंट पर अफसोस जताया है। बोर्ड ने एक बयान में कहा कि ये कमेंट बोर्ड के ऑफिशियल रुख को नहीं दिखाते हैं। बोर्ड ने खिलाड़ियों का अपमान करने या बांग्लादेश क्रिकेट की साख को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाले व्यवहार के लिए डिसिप्लिनरी एक्शन की चेतावनी दी है। नजमुल ने तमीम को कहा था भारतीय एजेंट जब इकबाल ने इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (IPL) के लिए कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (KKR) टीम से बांग्लादेश के तेज गेंदबाज मुस्तफिज़ुर रहमान को रिलीज किए जाने के कारण दोनों देशों के बीच क्रिकेट संबंधों में मौजूदा तनाव को सुलझाने के लिए बातचीत का आह्वान किया था, तब नजमुल ने भारतीय एजेंट कहकर उनका मजाक उड़ाया था। T20 वर्ल्डकप में बांग्लादेश के मैच जानिए क्या है मुस्तफिजुर और IPL विवाद 16 दिसंबर को IPL मिनी ऑक्शन में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (KKR) ने बांग्लादेशी गेंदबाज मुस्तफिजुर रहमान को 9.20 करोड़ रुपए में खरीदा था। इसके बाद बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं की हत्या के कारण भारत में मुस्तफिजुर का विरोध होने लगा। अब तक वहां 8 हिंदुओं की हत्या कर दी गई है। बाद में BCCI ने मुस्तफिजुर को IPL खेलने की अनुमति नहीं दी और 3 जनवरी को KKR ने उन्हें रिलीज कर दिया। बांग्लादेश का भारत आना तय नहीं बांग्लादेश का T20 WC मैचों के लिए भारत आना अभी पक्का नहीं है, क्योंकि BCB ने खिलाड़ियों की सुरक्षा चिंताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट काउंसिल (ICC) से अपने मैच भारत से बाहर कराने की रिक्वेस्ट की है। हालांकि ICC ने BCB की वेन्यू बदलने की मांग खारिज कर दी थी। यह मामला तब उठा, जब बोर्ड ऑफ कंट्रोल फॉर क्रिकेट इन इंडिया (BCCI) ने कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (KKR) को पेसर मुस्तफिज़ुर को अपनी IPL 2026 टीम से रिलीज करने का निर्देश दिया। BCCI ने यह कदम बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं के खिलाफ किए जा रहे अत्याचारों के विरोध में उठाया है।
