खबर ये है कि न तो 2000 रुपये तक के यूपीआई लेनदेन पर कोई चार्ज लगाया जा सकेगा और न रुपे कार्ड से लेनदेन पर. सरकार ने बस इतनी सी खबर गैजेट नोटिफिकेशन में बताई है. अब विपक्ष कह रहा है कि इसका मतलब है कि 2 हजार से ज्यादा के यूपीआई लेनदेन पर अब चार्ज वसूलने की तैयारी हो चुकी है. जिसे मर्चेंट डिस्काउंट रेट यानी एमडीआर कहते हैं. ये वो सर्विस फीस या कमीशन है जो एक दुकानदार डिजिटल पेमेंट लेने के बदले बैंक और पेमेंट कंपनियों को चुकाता है.
