DWदिल्ली-एनसीआर की बहुमंजिला इमारतों में आग लगने की घटनाएं लगातार बढ़ रही हैं. अकेले साल 2026 में अब तक ऐसी घटनाओं में 18 लोगों की मौत दर्ज की जा चुकी है. ऐसे में कुछ लोग अपनी सुरक्षा के लिए वैकल्पिक उपाय तलाश रहे हैं. दिल्ली-एनसीआर निवासी सुनील गुप्ता ने अपने घर की बालकनी में एक 'रोप-बेस्ड एस्केप सिस्टम' लगवाया है. इसे बनाने वाली कंपनी का दावा है कि बिना बिजली या किसी बाहरी पावर सोर्स के, स्टील वायर और मैकेनिकल गियर की मदद से कोई भी व्यक्ति लगभग एक मीटर प्रति सेकंड की नियंत्रित रफ्तार से सुरक्षित नीचे उतर सकता है. Consequently, some individuals are seeking alternative safety measures. Sunil Gupta, a resident of Delhi-NCR, has installed a 'rope-based escape system' on his apartment balcony. The manufacturer claims that, without the need for electricity or any external power source, the system allows a person to descend safely at a controlled speed of approximately one meter per second using steel cables and mechanical gears.
