Constitution Preamble Controversy: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has described the words added to the Preamble of the Constitution during the Emergency as a "canker". He said that words like 'socialist', 'secular' and 'integrity' were added at a time when the country was in the dark night of Emergency. He says that the Preamble is the soul of the Constitution and changing it without public consent is a betrayal of democracy.
