Others Baba Ramdev पर टिप्पणी मामले में Digvijay Singh बरी, हाजीपुर कोर्ट ने दी राहत
prabhasakshiमध्यप्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एवं कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता दिग्विजय सिंह को बाबा रामदेव पर कथित टिप्पणी से जुड़े 14 वर्ष पुराने मानहानि मामले में बिहार के हाजीपुर की एक अदालत ने बरी कर दिया है। यह जानकारी उनके अधिवक्ता ने दी। दीवानी मामलों की अदालत के अवर मुख्य न्यायिक दंडाधिकारी अभिमन्यु कुमार ने बृहस्पतिवार को मामले की अंतिम सुनवाई के बाद दिग्विजय सिंह को आरोपों से मुक्त कर दिया।
सुनवाई के दौरान दिग्विजय सिंह वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अदालत की कार्यवाही में शामिल हुए। दिग्विजय सिंह के अधिवक्ता युवराज सुनील सिंह ने बताया कि वर्ष 2012 में हाजीपुर के भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) नेता प्रो. अजीत कुमार सिंह ने बाबा रामदेव के संबंध में दिग्विजय सिंह की कथित आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी से आहत होकर उनके खिलाफ मानहानि का परिवाद दायर किया था। उन्होंने बताया कि इस मामले में भारतीय दंड संहिता (आईपीसी) की धारा 504 के तहत परिवाद संख्या सी-1/2665/2012 दर्ज किया गया था।
अधिवक्ता ने बताया कि मामले में वादी पक्ष की ओर से अधिवक्ता रविशंकर सिंह पैरवी कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि सुनवाई के दौरान करीब 12 वर्ष पहले दिग्विजय सिंह स्वयं हाजीपुर की अदालत में उपस्थित होकर अपना बयान दर्ज करा चुके थे। उस समय वह सांसद थे और यह मामला काफी सुर्खियों में रहा था।
