prabhasakshiनयी दिल्ली, 29 जुलाई लोकसभा और राज्य विधानसभाओं के चुनाव एक साथ कराने से जुड़े विधेयक पर विचार-विमर्श कर रही संयुक्त संसदीय समिति को अपनी रिपोर्ट सौंपने के लिए बुधवार को शीतकालीन सत्र तक का समय दिया गया। समिति के अध्यक्ष पीपी चौधरी ने इसकी रिपोर्ट जमा करने की समय-सीमा को शीतकालीन सत्र के अंतिम सप्ताह के पहले दिन तक बढ़ाने का लोकसभा में प्रस्ताव पेश किया। प्रस्ताव को ध्वनि मत से पारित कर दिया गया।
संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र आमतौर पर नवंबर के आखिरी हफ्ते में शुरू होता है और क्रिसमस से पहले संपन्न हो जाता है। यह 41 सदस्यीय समिति एक देश, एक चुनाव व्यवस्था को लागू करने के लिए संविधान (129वां संशोधन) विधेयक, 2024 पर विचार-विमर्श कर रही है। समिति 2029 तक, लोकसभा, राज्य विधानसभाओं और स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव एक साथ कराने के प्रस्ताव पर देश भर में परामर्श कर रही है।
