मौजूदा आईपीएल (इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग) 2026 का 43वां मैच राजस्थान रॉयल्स और दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के बीच खेला गया। दोनों टीमें 1 मई को जयपुर के सवाई मानसिंह स्टेडियम में आमने-सामने थीं और दिल्ली कैपिटल्स ने शानदार जीत दर्ज की। इस मुकाबले में राजस्थान रॉयल्स ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए पहली पारी में 225 रन बनाए। लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए केएल राहुल के शानदार प्रदर्शन ने कैपिटल्स को जीत दिलाई। 40 गेंदों में 75 रन बनाकर राहुल ने रॉयल्स को मुकाबले से बाहर कर दिया और अपनी टीम को जीत दिलाई।
प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच का पुरस्कार जीतकर केएल राहुल ने आईपीएल में सबसे अधिक प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच पुरस्कार जीतने वाले खिलाड़ियों की सूची में रवींद्र जडेजा की बराबरी कर ली। गौरतलब है कि राहुल और जडेजा दोनों के नाम अब तक 17-17 प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच पुरस्कार हो चुके हैं। इसके अलावा, विराट कोहली, रोहित शर्मा और एमएस धोनी जैसे खिलाड़ी भी इस सूची में शामिल हैं। मैच के बाद, केएल राहुल ने मंच पर आकर राजस्थान रॉयल्स को हराने के बारे में बात की, खासकर पूरे सीजन में संघर्ष करने के बाद। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि मुश्किलों के बावजूद ड्रेसिंग रूम का माहौल कैसा रहा।

केएल राहुल ने स्पष्ट किया कि खिताब के बिना व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धियों का कोई महत्व नहीं है और कहा कि उनकी दिली इच्छा महेंद्र सिंह धोनी के पांच आईपीएल खिताब की बराबरी करना है। आईपीएल में सर्वाधिक रन बनाने वाले खिलाड़ियों की सूची में हाल में धोनी से आगे निकलने वाले राहुल ने इस उपलब्धि को कम करके आंका और टीम को प्राथमिकता देने वाले अपने दृष्टिकोण को दोहराया। राहुल ने जिओस्टार से कहा कि मुझे तो पता भी नहीं चला कि मैं माही भाई से आगे निकल गया हूं। व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धियां अच्छी होती हैं। इनसे भरोसा होता है कि मैं सही दिशा में आगे बढ़ रहा हूं। लेकिन मुझे सबसे ज्यादा खुशी धोनी जितनी ट्रॉफियां जीतने से होगी।
