आईपीएल 2026 के 18वें मुकाबले में चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स ने एमए चिदंबरम क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को 23 रनों से हराया। ये सीएसके की इस सीजन की पहली जीत है। सीएसके से मिले 213 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए दिल्ली कैपिटल्स की पूरी 189 रन बनाकर ऑलआउट हुई।
चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स से मिले 213 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी दिल्ली कैपिटल्स की शुरुआत अच्छी रही। केएल राहुल और पाथुम निसांका ने पहले विकेट के लिए मिलकर 4.6 ओवर में 61 रन जोड़े, राहुल 10 गेंदों में 18 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। वहीं, निसांका ने 24 गेंदों में 5 चौकों और 2 छक्कों की मदद से 41 रन बनाए। हालांकि समीर रिजवी इस मुकाबले में फ्लॉप रहे वह महज 6 रन ही बना पाए और अपना विकेट गंवा बैठे। कप्तान अक्षर पटेल ने एक विकेट झटका।
डेविड मिलर भी दिल्ली कैपिटल्स की नैया को पार नहीं लगा पाए वह महज 14 गेंदों में 17 रन ही बना पाए। आशुतोष शर्मा 10 गेंदों में19 रन बनाने के बाद नूर अहमद की गेंद पर अंशुल कंबोज को कैच देकर पवेलियन लौटे। ट्रिस्टन स्टब्स ने बेहतरीन बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 38 गेंदों पर 60 रनों की दमदार पारी खेली, लेकिन उन्हें दूसरे छोर से बाकी बल्लेबाजों का साथ नहीं मिल सका। आकिब 4 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। कुलदीप यादव 4 रन बनाकर अंशुल कंबोज का शिकार बने। चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स की तरफ से जेमी ओवरटन ने बेहतरीन गेंदबाजी करते हुए 4 ओवर के स्पेल में सिर्फ 18 रन देकर 4 विकेट निकाले। वहीं, अंशुल कंबोज ने 3 विकेट चटकाए।
चेन्नई ने 20 ओवर में 2 विकेट गंवाकर स्कोरबोर्ड पर 212 रन लगाए। संजू सैमसन और ऋतुराज गायकवाड़ की सलामी जोड़ी इस सीजन में पहली बार अच्छी लय में दिखाई दी। दोनों ने मिलकर पहले विकेट के लिए 6.2 ओवर में 62 रन जोड़े। ऋतुराज 18 गेंदों का सामना करने के बाद 15 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। इसके बाद सैमसन को आयुष म्हात्रे के रूप में अच्छा जोड़ीदार मिला। दोनों ने दूसरे विकेट के लिए 68 गेंदों में 113 रन की अहम साझेदारी निभाई। आयुष ने इस दौरान 36 गेंदों में 59 रन बनाकर रिटायर्ड आउट हुए। वहीं संजू सैमसन ने 52 गेंदों में आईपीएल में अपना चौथा शतक लगाया। सैमसन ने 56 गेंदों में 15 चौके और 4 छक्कों की मदद से नाबाद 115 रनों की यादगार पारी खेली। वहीं, शिवम दुबे ने 10 गेंदों में नाबाद 20 रन बनाए। गेंदबाजी में दिल्ली की ओऱ से एकमात्र विकेट अक्षर पटेल ने लिया।
