इंग्लैंड दौरे पर भारत को पहली जीत दिलाने वाले मुकाबले के बाद एक ऐसा घटनाक्रम सामने आया है, जिसने युवा तेज गेंदबाज गुरनूर बराड़ को चर्चा में ला दिया है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ पहले एकदिवसीय मुकाबले के दौरान आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन करने पर गुरनूर बराड़ को आधिकारिक चेतावनी जारी की है। साथ ही उनके अनुशासन रिकॉर्ड में एक डिमेरिट पॉइंट्स भी जोड़ दिया गया है।
मौजूद जानकारी के अनुसार यह घटना इंग्लैंड की पारी के आठवें ओवर के दौरान हुई थी। क्षेत्ररक्षण करते समय गुरनूर बराड़ ने गेंद उठाकर बल्लेबाज की दिशा में ऐसे अंदाज में फेंकी, जिसे अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद ने अनुचित और संभावित रूप से खतरनाक माना। इसी आधार पर उन पर खिलाड़ियों और सहयोगी स्टाफ के लिए लागू आचार संहिता के स्तर-एक के नियम के तहत कार्रवाई की गई है।
बता दें कि गुरनूर बराड़ ने अपनी गलती स्वीकार कर ली और मैच रेफरी द्वारा प्रस्तावित सजा को भी मान लिया। इसके बाद इस मामले में किसी औपचारिक सुनवाई की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ी। यह पिछले 24 महीनों में उनका पहला अनुशासन संबंधी मामला है, इसलिए उनके खाते में केवल एक डिमेरिट पॉइंट दर्ज किया गया है।
गौरतलब है कि मैदान पर खिलाड़ियों की सुरक्षा और खेल भावना बनाए रखने के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद ऐसे मामलों को गंभीरता से देखती है। स्तर-एक के उल्लंघन में आधिकारिक चेतावनी, मैच फीस का कुछ हिस्सा काटने या एक से दो डिमेरिट पॉइंट्स देने का प्रावधान होता है। इस मामले में गुरनूर बराड़ को केवल चेतावनी और एक डिमेरिट पॉइंट की सजा मिली है।
मैच की बात करें तो गुरनूर बराड़ का प्रदर्शन प्रभावशाली रहा था। उन्होंने अपने शुरुआती स्पैल में इंग्लैंड के दोनों सलामी बल्लेबाज जैकब बेथेल और बेन डकेट को पवेलियन भेजकर भारत को मजबूत शुरुआत दिलाई। उन्होंने अपने दस ओवर में 61 रन देकर दो विकेट लिए। इसके अलावा प्रसिद्ध कृष्णा की गेंद पर जोस बटलर का अहम कैच भी लपका, जिससे इंग्लैंड की टीम दबाव में आ गई थी।
बता दें कि गुरनूर बराड़ ने हाल ही में अफगानिस्तान के खिलाफ घरेलू सीरीज में अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में पदार्पण किया था और लगातार अपनी गेंदबाजी से प्रभावित कर रहे हैं। वहीं भारतीय टीम ने पहले एकदिवसीय मुकाबले में इंग्लैंड को छह विकेट से हराकर तीन मैचों की सीरीज में 1-0 की बढ़त बना ली है। ऐसे में टीम प्रबंधन को उम्मीद होगी कि युवा तेज गेंदबाज आगे आने वाले मुकाबलों में अनुशासन का पूरा ध्यान रखते हुए अपने प्रदर्शन से टीम की सफलता में योगदान देते रहेंगे।
